We're almost there! UC Tech: Resilient, Rising & Reinspired is just days away and we can't wait to see you — live or virtually! This message is being sent to all our attendees, ~1,000 total, to share some important logistics for the best experience possible.
Take a Campus Tour
Whether traveling to campus or joining us virtually, you can explore the UC Berkeley campus to get familiar with the surroundings. Into maps? Check out this interactive map of campus that shows where all the conference sessions will be held and even the walking path between hotels and the MLK Student Union, our hub where we will gather for food, drinks, networking and an awesome Sponsor Showcase!
Join the Attendee Hub
The attendee hub, where you can access the full conference agenda, your schedule, speaker info, the interactive campus map plus where you will join virtual sessions, is the same place where you can connect with other participants. You have two options:

Via the attendee hub website - Provide your name and email address used when you registered for the conference. You will be emailed a verification code, enter it when prompted.

Download the CVENT Event app - Go mobile using the conference app to easily access the attendee hub from your smartphone. Access the App Store or Google Play Store and search for the "Cvent Events" app. Download the app then open it and search for “UC Tech” to get logged in. Create a profile so other attendees can connect with you!
Virtual Participants
To join sessions, follow the instructions above to log into the attendee hub. Navigate to the session you want to enter, then hit the “Join” button up to 5 minutes prior to the session start time.
In-Person Attendees
Your travel arrangements are set, bags are packed, now what? Here is some useful info on getting to campus and other important logistics:

Transportation options from the airport - use BART or rideshare options (Lyft or Uber) to get you to campus or directly to your hotel address. To get to the MLK Student Union (conference hub) select zone 7, Sproul Plaza, as your dropoff location.

Driving to campus - Use the interactive map which has visitor parking locations integrated and review these parking tips before your visit. Use the Pay By Phone app to pay for parking. UC Berkeley employees can park in the RSF garage and purchase a daily "F" parking permit online for $11/day. Unfortunately, reciprocal parking for other UC locations is not available.

Navigating campus - UC Tech 2023 home base will be the Martin Luther King, Jr. Student Union (near Sproul Plaza). The MLK Student Union is an accessible venue for all and where several sessions will be held. The planning team is committed to providing access to all individuals attending the conference. Use this helpful guide to navigate campus or request special accommodations by emailing the UC Tech Programming Committee at uctech@berkeley.edu

Registration Check-In & UC Tech Swag - When you arrive, be sure to check-in to get your name badge which doubles as your meal ticket, includes drink tickets, and don’t forget to pick up some sweet UC Tech 2023 swag! We have limited quantities of swag items so get yours early! Here are the times and locations for conference check-in:

Monday, July 17, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on 2nd Floor MLK Student Union; 5 - 7 p.m. in Residence Inn, 2121 Center St, Berkeley, CA 94704.

Tuesday, July 18, 7:30 - 9 a.m. in Lower Sproul Plaza; 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on 2nd Floor MLK Student Union.

Wednesday, July 19, 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on 2nd Floor MLK Student Union.

Drink Tickets - Full conference attendees will receive two drink tickets for both Monday and Tuesday evening events. Please be sure to tuck these tickets into your name badge holder so you have your tickets for both events. Additional tickets will not be distributed.

Sponsor Showcase & Raffle Prizes - The best way to show your appreciation for the generosity of our sponsors is to visit them in the Sponsor Showcase! Top tech companies are ready to show you their newest gadgets, latest software, and modern solutions to technical challenges we all face. Plus, our Sponsors have provided dozens of amazing raffle prizes worth up to $300 in value each. The prizes range from an Apple Watch to a Fitbit, a LEGO Treehouse to an Ooni Pizza Oven, wireless speakers to a Yeti portable cooler plus gift cards to Home Depot, Amazon, and more! What do you have to do to enter? Nothing. Your registration automatically enters you into the raffle. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will use our virtual spinner to draw names then post winners with sponsor names via Slack#uctech-conference. Winners must be present to accept their prize and to meet the sponsor who donated the prize for a photo opp at their booth. Any raffle items not claimed by noon on Wednesday will be put back into a final drawing.
Take a short survey for a chance to win $75
Our partners on the UC IT blog news team are interested in learning more about you — who you are and how they can serve you better. Please take 1-2 minutes to complete this short survey by Tuesday, July 18 at noon Later that day, they will do a drawing for prizes ($75 gift cards and a few other small surprises) among those who complete the survey then announce winners at the UC Tech awards ceremony that evening. Also, you will receive a subscription to the UC IT blog news (you can unsubscribe at any time). Unlike the raffle prizes, you need not be present to win!
